subsequent perceived need to simplify teaching and testing
curriculums there has developed a gap in many practitioners
understanding of the true foundations of Aikido. Lost Techniques represents a step toward reversing this
terrible loss. Focused on techniques which for the most part have
been misplaced within the practice of today's Aikido, Lost
Techniques demonstrates their application in order to broaden

Tanren -
Spirit Forging During O'Sensei's lifelong pursuit of the Way of
Aiki, he both used and developed many training methods. One method
O'Sensei utilized extensively during his period of austere training
was Tanren-Uchi (the forging of the spirit through repetitious
striking). Part one of this new video features step-by-step
instruction on how to construct a heavy-duty Tanren stand with only
basic tools and a little desire. Part two demonstrates the basic use
and foundation of Tanren training. Develop your grip, forearms, and
lower back muscles while forging your Aiki-Spirit. Order your copy

JuKen
Dori This vital new video demonstrates and discusses
the lost art of JuKen Dori (bayoneted rifle defense). Practiced and
taught by O'Sensei during the Aiki-Budo (1931 - 1941) and early
Aikido era (1942 - 1946). JuKen, the wooden rifle and bayonet
(alternately termed Mokuju) was used extensively for military
training during the Russo-Japanese War and World War II. O'Sensei
developed techniques, using the principles of Aiki, to disarm an
attack from JuKen. Through the practice of JuKen Dori one can see
the two-way influence of O'Sensei's development of Jo-Dori (Staff
taking). JuKen Dori, as presented in this new video,
offers a unique platform for studying the roots of O'Sensei's
Aikido. Item#

repertoire for testing, while at the same time, gaining a correct
understanding of this, all too often haphazardly applied, facet of
Aikido. Item #

testing." Regardless of your current level, the concise
